Tetrahedral amorphous (ta-C) carbon is hard carbon coating that is used for cutting of non-ferrous alloys. Due to extremely high hardness and low coefficient of friction, this coating is suitable for machining of aluminum alloys, copper alloys, and other non-ferrous metals, such as silver, gold, bronze, brass, magnesium alloys or wood, and paper.
